Bloggers4Labour Social III - 17 comments
It's been a while, but I'm hoping to organise a Bloggers4Labour get-together this month.
I would have expected this to be quite low-key, given that events are planned for the Labour Conference next month. On the other hand, given the huge increase in membership this year, and our strength in the South, another London meetup should be well attended. All B4L bloggers are welcome, non-blogging forum members, and guests (within reason).
I'm proposing Thursday, August 24th. If that isn't good, would the Friday be better, or the following Thursday? Venue suggestions are also welcome.

24th August is good. Start of my holiday and the day before Greenbelt

Should be able to make it. And as my Birthday is on 23rd I trump Kerron on the bringing presents front.
What about 1st week of September as a start of term thing?
Have to see what the consensus is over the next few days. It is looking like it'll be the 24th so far...
sadly unable to engage on this occasion, but would def like to in future (perhaps at conference).
Feel free to suggest other dates, as the 24th isn't set in stone yet. Otherwise, maybe see you at the Conference meetup.
Well, generally the week after is better, but no stress as am happy to amble along in Manchester, as most bods appear happy with 24th!
So get yourselves along to this event and bring presents for me AND Andrew - that's settled then. :-)
No it's not. It's my birthday on the 23rd too! But Andrew should be presented his presents first. Age before beauty, after all. How old are you by the way Andrew? I'm, er, twenty-one. *Cough*

Oh, that's a shame. Not to worry though. I'll be celebrating my 21st, *cough*, for the, um, 18th time...

You should have a section of the B4L forum devoted to arranging meet-ups - it might encourage more people to visit the forums!
I'll come if you promise that the famous B4L scrap of cardboard will be there.
There is a topic named "Get-togethers", though it hasn't been used much (or indeed at all for this one). Will be better organised for the Manchester one.
I promise the retro-fitted Joan Armatrading flyer will be there as usual...
