North Yorks countryside tops Kent:
The county [North Yorkshire] was praised for "breathtaking countryside" like the Yorkshire Dales and the quality of its stately homes, such as Castle Howard in York. How much less charming homes, factories, and people are than green, landscaped fields and stately homes.
Kent lies in fifth place with 5.2% of the total vote.
Respondents felt it had lost some of its charm due to the number of London commuters in the county, the impact of Eurostar trains travelling through the countryside and the negative effect of "chavs".
"Chavs" tend to be recognised by their cheap gold jewellery and distinctive dress code, often consisting of a Burberry baseball cap, branded sportswear and trainers.
P.S. I don't hail from Kent.

Well, I may not like this fact, but when I'm not at uni I happen to live in York (in the middle of North Yorkshire, just in case ya didn't know :P). And I've decided that as long as it's sunny it is rather beautiful.
Who wants to see lots of state;y homes highlighting the disparity of wealth when you can have a rugged, tribal landscape, showing the real beauty of survival?
Seriously though, it is quite nice up here, as long as you know where to go...
I live in Kent, and I can tell you that there does seem to be a disproportionate number of Chaves, not seen until you get to London- it isnt that they look bad, it's the foul Language that is the problem. Funnily enough, most of the Chavs here go to expensive private schools- It will be strange seeing these people vote Tory in the future.
