Somewhere in the Capital - 9 comments
Bloggers4Labour will be a year old on February 16th, which just happens to fall on a Thursday, so why not celebrate somewhere in London among blogging chums? Here's an account of our last meetup in Brighton, back in September.
Let me know, or leave a comment, if you're interested and will be free (either for the Thursday or the following Friday, so we can see which day is most popular).
Venue is totally tbc. I only really know the West End, City, and inner SE, but a venue close to the corridors of power would be interesting, and might encourage a few shy Portcullis House types to join us. Suggestions, anyone?
I'm well aware that this is a bit hard on our many members from - in particular - the Midlands, Wales, and Manchester, so get in touch if you're a B4L member and fancy arranging a rival/complementary get-together a bit further up the map.

Feb 16th clashes with the Crawley CLP executive meeting... Friday sounds a lot better.
Delighted to be described as a "shy Portcullis House type"!!!
Thursday would mean a play rehearsal for me - and let's face it, I'm not growing this beard for fun! :-)
But Friday should be fine. (Council work - and beard - permitting.)
:-)
I'm free either way. Perhaps there should be one for those going to Spring conference in horrible Blackpool too...
Friday 17th is better for me too.
I'll come if I can - you know, work, family, life, etc. permitting. Friday 17th sounds good.
If London, I might come. 16th better.
Anyone going to Billy Bragg at the Barbican on the 2nd?
Something in Blackpool would be good !
Will have to give it a week or so to get some more views, but at the moment it looks like we'll definitely do something in London (venues anyone?), most probably on Friday 17th. At the moment there's only one vote for a rival Northern do, but if we can get some more names for that, then that would be great. I doubt I'd be able to go - being right on the South coast doesn't help - but I'd be keen to help it happen.
Hm. I'm in manchester, and have Uni things going on for most of the day, so couldnt make it to london. any other ideas?
