Saddam 'tortured' - 1 comment

The BBC reports:
Saddam Hussein has been beaten and tortured by the Americans, he has alleged at his trial in Baghdad.

"I have been beaten on every place of my body, and the signs are all over my body," he told the court.
Naturally he couldn't resist going into more detail in private: "I give them a 3 at best. These kwanii lack the imagination, the creativity, the real passion for their work."
The prosecution gave little credence to the former president's claim he had been tortured, saying he was being held in an air-conditioned room when some of Baghdad had no power.
Must be terrible to be a pawn in a political show-trial.

No, this isn't my last word before Xmas :-)

Yeah even mass-murderers have rights. Saddam should be IMMEDIATELY handed over to the Iraqi authorities.

I'm positive that the Iraqis will treat him with all the respect and deference they can muster.
