Sir John Major - 5 comments

Thanks to the Queen for this decision. After all, no form of political patronage, however corrupt, blinkered, or deluded, could have come up with it.

According to one garden gnome we spoke to, Mr. Major was "Moderately satisfied with the Queen's sound judgment on this matter."

... he sprung into action

And precisely what was the award of this tainted gewgaw in aid of? The traffic cones hotline? Black Wednesday, perhaps? Or was it acting beyond the call of duty in shafting Edwina Currie (while he was shafting the country at the same time)

Well he went to war and left Saddam in charge, and contributed nothing (that I can think of) to the good of the British people either. It's pretty sad to start getting sentimental about Major, who, it is generally agreed, is pretty far down the scale of British PMs.

John Major can hardly be said to have been paticularily groundbreaking, neither in his premiership or general manner-C'mon sex with edwina currie-he'll get more than selmonella, but he did prove as a good, well mannered interval between to great plays. One of Which was a Comedy- The Other a Tragedy.-I'll leave it to you to gues which one was which.

Let him have his knighthood as compensation for all those Jibes he must receive ...Daily.
