AWOL - 9 comments
Sorry for the lack of updates - have spent practically all the last week in the vicinity of Southampton General Hospital as a close family member lies critically ill.
But, for the moment, I'm here! Some recent additions to the list:
- James Hamilton's blog - Psychotherapy, Neuroscience and current affairs.
- Labour Friends of Iraq. Their aim is to unite Labour Party members to build direct links of solidarity between the emerging Iraqi labour movement and progressive organisations and the British labour movement. Here's a link to their Nozad Ismail campaign.
- and finally, the Thimble - Bringing digitabulism into the 21st century.
Anyone else come across the Alastair Campbell blog? Is it for real? Suspiciously few comments being left (mainly from psychos, but who am I to judge?) and I haven't found too many links from other bloggers.
Yes, it does appear to support the Labour Party (in a somewhat fundamental manner), but it'd be nice to know it was genuine...

I came across it a few weeks ago... Don't think it's genuine, doesn't seem smarmy enough ;)
I can't see it being genuine either, too much swearing. We know he does quite a bit of it, even in emails, but... I don't know doesn't ring true...
Hmm, there's plenty of background info. Whoever did it (if it wasn't him) would have to be a bit peculiar to come up with it all. I'll drop them an email.
Still, it's an intriguing read!
Which psychos are those?
The only one who seems in the least psychopathic is the Veratas[sic] supporter. The rest of us seem to be just probing for a jot of truth and a confirmation of identity.
Hmm, well, it was fairly convincing for a while but I think it's fallen away a bit recently - hard to see Campbell writing "the Tories could get in by the back door or even worse we could end up with Gordon Brown as PM".
Maybe "most" was too strong, but the "What do you call 12 dead burnley fans in the street ??" comment (Feb 22) stuck in my mind.
Hadn't seen him. Anonymous psychos are the worst.
What's so strange about the Gordon Brown comment? Campbell span against Brown, and Charlie Whelan counter-span. A lot of the Blair-Brown rifts looked to me like Campbell-Whelan power struggles.
The Brown post was only strange insofar as it implied that he'd rather have the Tories in than Gordie as PM, which is a bit much. IMO you'd have to really scrape the barrel to find a new Labour PM who'd be worse than Howard.
